DOLE News: New Salary Increase in Metro Manila (July 2026)

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) announced a ₱85 daily wage increase for minimum-wage workers in the National Capital Region (NCR). This is the largest single daily wage increase ever approved in Metro Manila. (Department of Labor and Employment)

Implementation Schedule

• First tranche: ₱60 increase, effective July 25, 2026

• Second tranche: ₱25 increase, effective January 20, 2027 (Department of Labor and Employment)

Who Benefits?

• More than 1.1 million minimum-wage workers in Metro Manila are expected to benefit from the increase. (Department of Labor and Employment)

Other Benefits That Will Also Increase

Because these are based on the basic wage, the following will also increase:

• Overtime pay

• Night shift differential

• Holiday pay

• Rest-day premium pay

• Service incentive leave pay

• 13th-month pay

• Separation pay

Reminder for Employers
